IV San Bernard Authorized Pet Spa
Big Dog’s Grooming is proud to have earned the distinction of being an IV San Bernard Authorized Facility! Throughout their grooming, your pets will benefit from exceptional skin care products proven to make your fur babies look, smell, AND FEEL BETTER than they ever have before.
Why Iv San Bernard?
Founded in Italy in 1995, IvSB is the leading manufacturer of animal care products in Europe and has developed an array of products designed for various coat types and proper skin management. All their products are formulated with natural ingredients which act to improve the end results of your pet’s groom.
Routine Bathing & Grooming
The core product line from Iv San Bernard has been designed for your pet’s specific coat. Lemon, for short coats, contains more oils to protect the skin and hair. Banana, for medium coats, contains more minerals and nutrients. And Green Apple, for long coats, contains more collagen for hydration. Each coat type has a corresponding conditioner to further enhance the results with your baby’s coat.
Puppies & Seniors, too!
Iv San Bernard’s commitment to excellence doesn’t stop at just the type of coat… They’ve also developed specific products that meet the coat needs of both puppies and seniors alike. Talc for puppies is extra gentle, specifically for their tender young skin, while Green Tomato for seniors helps to combat some of the body odors older dogs tend to struggle with. Either way, your fur babies have products for their specific needs.
Working alongside your veterinarian, Big Dogs Grooming can provide safe, non-irritating bathing for all manner of skin problems. From allergies to infections, and metabolic problems like thyroid disease and Cushing’s. Our therapeutic line of Iv San Bernard products will help your pets look and feel better than they would with medical treatment alone. Specific treatments are always coordinated with your veterinarian.
Hydro-Massage and ozone treatments
Utilizing the patented Iv San Bernard Hydro-Massage machine, we’re able to not only “bubble-away” your pet’s skin problems but also add in the pathogen killing effects of ozone. One of the most powerful oxidizing agents on earth, ozone destroys bacteria, mold and yeast spores, organic material, and viruses. This treatment is the perfect addition to any treatments your veterinarian is providing for the underlying condition.
Is my pet a candidate for Ozone treatment?
Understanding that Hydro-massage & Skin Ozone Therapies are not a drug or a magic bullet, we recommend you have your baby treated by a veterinarian at the same time we’re working on the skin. Hydro-massage and pet skin ozone therapies are therapeutic tools that can help us restore the health of the skin. In the end, however, your baby’s immune system has to be strong enough to do the work of healing the body. With this in mind, skin ozone therapy is best performed along with other treatment modalities in order to achieve the best results.
The number and frequency of treatments will vary depending on the underlying problem and your vet’s input is critical to this schedule. By working with your veterinarian, we’ll be able to design a treatment schedule specific to your furbaby’s needs.
Most responsive problems for hydro-massage
While every pet is different, there are several problems and conditions where hydro-massage, with or without ozone, has been shown to be very effective. These include fungal infections like ringworm, yeast, and Malassezia, bacterial infections like folliculitis, hot spots, and staph dermatitis, and severe parasitic infections like scabies and demodectic mange.
Beyond infectious problems, hydro-massage with Ozone is perfect for stimulating regrowth of hair in bald or shaved areas, relieving itching from allergies, reducing pain and inflammation in wounds or post-surgical incisions. And did we mention arthritic pain??? The warm massaging bubbles are perfect for soothing arthritic joints and treating orthopedic joint surgeries after the incision has healed!
Whether your furbaby’s got chronic skin problems, or pain and inflammation in its joints, our soothing Hydro-Massage with Ozone treatment is a perfect option to help them feel better!
